DisasterScan
In production (Brazil)
National fire, rain and river intelligence for Brazil, turned into which municipalities, how many people and how many hours.

What it does
DisasterScan, in brief.
DisasterScan holds Brazil's national hazard record in one warehouse: 18.2 million satellite fire detections since 2023 (refreshed daily), 88.7 million hourly observations from INMET's automatic stations since 2000 (refreshed monthly), a registry of 41,569 hydro-meteorological stations, 30,020 dams and the 2022 census for all 5,571 municipalities.
In Rio Grande do Sul it reads 130 civil-defence rain and river stations every hour, learns each station's own alarm threshold from its history and runs a 24-hour alarm model, validated retrospectively and blind on past floods.
A command centre, behind sign-in, shows it by municipality.

What is live, and what is next.
liveloaded, in build or in designroadmap
- Daily national fire-detection record with per-satellite provenance (INPE)live
- Hourly weather archive from 2000, and a national station and dam registrylive
- Per-station climatological thresholds and a 24-hour alarm model for Rio Grande do Sul (BigQuery ML)live · Rio Grande do Sul
- Municipal exposure: hazard joined to the IBGE mesh and the 2022 censuslive
- Radar flood-extent mapping (Sentinel-1) on a commercial processing pathroadmap
